Training and Support
Training Resources
An important element in support community relations work involves ensuring that key individuals and organisations have the necessary skills to undertake such challenging activity. Considerable expertise already exists in Northern Ireland to handle issues such as prejudice reduction, conflict mediation and mutual understanding.
The Community Relations Council no longer offers its own training programmes. Instead its focus now is on empowering other organisations to deliver training to their specific client groups. The Council's new Communications and Resources programme will also act as a facilitator for the development and promotion of training materials. All of the training materials available in the Resource Centre and the Library are listed in the Document Library online, any queries you have about these publications can be directed to Ellana Tomasso.
