The Community Relations Council provides grant aid and advice to voluntary and community groups in support of projects which have a community relations purpose or value.
The Council's schemes
The Council has a variety of funding schemes each tailored to promote certain aspects of community relations.

Community Relations and Cultural Diversity Scheme: A scheme aimed at locally based groups such as community development groups, women's groups, church groups.
Changes to the CR/CD Grant Scheme Application Process.
The grant scheme runs on an annual basis. Applications for projects taking place before 31st March 2009 must be submitted by 4pm on Friday December 12th 2008.
The grant scheme will reopen in Feb 2009 for projects taking place after April 1st.
Core Funding Scheme: Programme funding for organisations whose core work is community relations. This is now open for 2009 applications. Closing date for new applicants is 4.00pm on Friday 28th November and for renewal applicants Friday 31st October 2008.
The closing time and date for receiving applications at the offices of the Community Relations Council, 6 Murray Street, Belfast BT 1 6DN, is 5pm on 31st October 2007
Shortlisted companies will be asked to make a presentation based on the proposal in their application at the Community Relations Council during the last two weeks of November 2007.

Research Awards Programme 2008:
Victim/Survivor Groups Core Funding Scheme: The emphasis of core funding will be on the benefits it brings to individual victims/survivors and priority will be given to organisations/groups which provide support services to victims/survivors which they cannot access elsewhere. This scheme is currently closed to new applications.
Victim/Survivor Groups Development Grant Scheme: The scheme is aimed at groups working with Victims, or are working with Victims resident in Northern Ireland.
The Victim/Survivor Grants Scheme is open to new applications - all applications by hand or post(Belfast office only). Applications will not be accepted by fax or email as a signed hardcopy is required. Applications for projects taking place before the 31st March 2009 must be submitted by 4pm Friday 12th December 2008.
IFI Community Bridges Programme: The funds objectives are to promote economic and social advance and to encourage contact, dialogue and reconciliation between Nationalists and Unionists throughout Ireland.
