Core Funding Committee (Victims + Survivors)

Background

The Core Funding Committee at the training day on 6 February 2003 agreed to establish a sub committee to look at a system to help assist with the process of allocating funds from the Core Funding Scheme.  A meeting took place on 19 February with the sub-committee.

Micháela Mackin provided some draft papers on criteria/scoring to members in advance of the meeting to help stimulate ideas on the process that the Committee might apply.

The meeting focused on 4 issues – criteria, scoring, the process for the Committee and how we could develop a process to apportion the £3million.

The committee agreed a process that is outlined in three documents (attached):

Guidelines for allocating expenditure from CF Scheme (Victims/Survivors).

Criteria for the allocation of funding under the Core Funding Scheme for Victims + Survivors Groups (03/05).

Scoring Process for the allocation of Core Funding scheme for Victims + Survivors groups.

The sub committee set aside a further date on Friday 28th February 2003 in the event that it may be required prior to the main committee meeting on 6th and 7th  March.
