The Swatragh Wall, and the two adjacent shelters, are owned by Magherafelt District Council and have been covered in graffiti for a number of years. The various community groups in the Swatragh Area, together with an artist, have designed an eye catching mural for the Wall and Shelters, depicting “The Children of Lir” and verses of poetry from books written by locals. This project has been totally financed by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland Re-imaging Communities programme.
