The Anti-Sectarian Poster Project has offered the young people of the Derry City schools the opportunity to make a statement about the need to be mindful of personal prejudice and sectarian attitudes.  The posters created by the students will be on display to the public at the Junction during Community Relations week.

This is a second chance to view the ‘Remembering Diversity’ exhibition which takes a historical and Community Relations outlook on the diversity of people buried in the City Cemetery.  It might sound strange but this is a ‘people’s exhibition’ reflecting local lives and covering topics from Archbishop’s wives to war graves, editors to ex-combatants and ethnic minorities.

We have come so far with peace and better community relations, but ‘Are we there yet?’  The campaign moves to Foyleside for two days to give the public a chance to make a postcard pledge or postcard challenge to politicians, to work towards a better and shared future for everyone. Come and fill in a postcard and earn yourself some ‘Are we there yet?’ campaign freebies.

Launch of ‘DiverseCity’  an Exhibition about local Ethnic Minorities

The exhibition (which will be on public display all week) explores the cultures and traditions of ethnic minority groups living in the city.  It also aims to provide food for thought around challenging stereotypical perceptions about local ethnic minority communities, migrant workers and racism.
